This review looked at out-of-hours GP services, A&E services and urgent care centres, emergency ambulance services and, to a lesser extent, urgent GP services delivered during usual surgery opening hours and NHS Direct. Data was gathered from across these services to produce a combined assessment of urgent and emergency care across each local area, which was based on the boundaries of each of the 152 primary care trusts (PCTs) in England.
